The Pope’s Butler is guilty claims the Vatican Police force – Tradeshow booth of life
Written by Tradeshow Booth Guy on May 29, 2012 – 2:37 pm -According to the Vatican police force, the pope’s butler is responsible for the recent leaks of personal papal correspondence that shed unwanted light on powerful struggles and alleged corruption within the Vatican.
The scandal that the Italian press has called VatiLeaks burst into the open on Friday with the arrest by Vatican gendarmes of a man, identified as Paolo Gabriele, the pope’s butler, who the Vatican said was in possession of confidential documents and is suspected of leaking private letters. Interesting stuff for the tradeshow booth of life.
The arrest follows the ouster of the president of the Vatican Bank, Ettore Gotti Tedeschi, amid conflicts over how to bring the secretive institution in line with international banking standards and the publication of a sensational book that reveals clashes over the management at the Vatican bank and allegations of corruption and cronyism.
Not everyone believes Gabriele is guilty. Paolo Rodari, a Vatican expert for the Italian daily Il Foglio writes, “His arrest seems more the Vatican’s desire to find a scapegoat.”

Get your Cheap Eats at the Local Strip Mall # tradeshow booth of life
Written by Tradeshow Booth Guy on May 24, 2012 – 2:56 pm -According to Tyler Cowen, an economist who teaches at George Mason University, when it comes to getting the best value for the dining dollar, foodies should pass on nearly every restaurant located in hip urban neighborhoods. Instead, Cowen recommends heading to restaurants that share parking lots with dollar stores, supermarkets, and liquor stores. What we’re talking about is the scintillating dining destination known as the suburban strip mall.
Cowen’s reasoning is that, compared to restaurants in high-rent districts, strip mall eateries have low overhead, so they can keep menu prices down and experiment with foods and ingredients without constantly having to worry it won’t be able to pay the bills.

Lafleur’s first stop was Curtis Lumber, where surveillance cameras captured her strolling casually through the store. She asked a couple of employees what time it was, told them to “Have a good day,” and then walked out.
After leaving the lumber yard, Lafleur allegedly walked a short distance to a Stewart’s Shops convenience store. “The clerk said, ‘Excuse me, ma’am, did you know you have no clothes on?’ and she said, ‘Oh yeah I’m totally fine with that.”

Written by Tradeshow Booth Guy on May 18, 2012 – 2:42 pm -Skechers has agreed to pay $40 million to consumers who purchased its rocker-bottom shoes under the mistaken belief that the shoes would help give them Kim Kardashian’s booty or Joe Montana’s stamina. So how do you get your piece of the payout if you purchased the shoes months, if not years ago, and don’t have a receipt?
No problem. This refund relies largely on the honor system. A definite thumbs us from the Tradeshow booth of Life.
Anyone who purchased the company’s line of Shape-Up shoes — or its Resistance Runners, Tone-ups or Toners — is entitled to a partial refund whether they have proof of purchase or not, officials said Thursday.
Consumers are urged to submit a claim at www.skecherssettlement.com, fill out the online form and offer up any documentation or recollections that they might have — details about the purchase, or perhaps a credit card receipt.

Man Mistakes Girlfriend for a Hog….Shoots Her # tradeshow booth of life
Written by Tradeshow Booth Guy on May 16, 2012 – 3:09 pm -Steven Egan, 52, was hunting with his girlfriend, Lisa Simmons, in Northern Florida when he mistook her for a hog and shot her. A typical move in the tradeshow booth of life areana.
The mistake was not related to the girl’s appearance. Rather, Egan had earlier shot at a hog that continued to evade him. He reportedly instructed Simmons to stay at their campsite while he pursued the evasive animal. However, Simmons ventured away from the campsite, apparently searching for oranges that had fallen from nearby trees.
When Egan heard rustling in the woods, he fired in her direction without first making visual confirmation with his intended target. Instead, Simmons was struck in the legs by a .30-caliber bullet from Egan’s gun. She was airlifted to the nearby Halifax Health Medical Center where she is listed as being in serious condition.

Which City is the Porn Capital of America? # tradeshow booth of life
Written by Tradeshow Booth Guy on May 9, 2012 – 5:31 pm -Which city is the porn capital of America? Is it bondage-friendly San Francisco? Las Vegas with its nearby legal Bunny Ranch brothel? Los Angeles for its “San Pornando” Valley?
Home of Disney World, Orlando ranked in first place when Men’s Health magazine compiled statistics on the amount of porn DVDs purchased, rented or streamed; number of adult entertainment stores; porn searches on Google; and Cinemax-subscribing households to rank 100 U.S. cities.
Orlando ranked in first place, Los Angeles ranked 69. If your city is listed on the Adult DVD Empire’s no-stream category, a restriction companies put in place to avoid being charged with violating community standards, you can’t get porn at all.

“Because He’s Worth It” – 89 Year L’Oréal Heiress Gave Over a Billion Euros to Playboy-Friend # tradeshow booth of life
Written by Tradeshow Booth Guy on May 7, 2012 – 2:57 pm -89 year old Liliane Bettencourt, one of the heirs of the vast L’Oréal cosmetic fortune, gave over a billion euros in annuities, Picasso and Matisse paintings and an island in the Seychelles to 64 year old Francois-Marie Banier, a playboy photographer and buddy of Salvador Dali and Johnny Depp. Mr. Banier also received a 700,000 euro-a-year contract from L’Oréal as “an artistic consultant.”
Mrs. Bettencourt’s daughter, Francoise Bettencourt-Meyers sued Mr. Banier, saying he exploited her mother’s frailty. That set off an incendiary five-year battle in which Mrs. Bettencourt unleashed counterattacks to keep her daughter from “obsessively” meddling in her life, and at one point threatened to disinherit her.
Grandson Jean-Victor Meyers was thrust into the role of diplomat between his grandmother and his mother and has taken his grandmother’s place on the board of L’Oréal.
L’Oréal, the world’s largest cosmetics company, owns the Body Shop, Lancôme, Maybelline and rang up a record 20 billion euros in global sales last year, and it is angling to conquer one billion new consumers in the next decade to beat its rivals.
